Limited Slip Diff By Quaife For Mercedes 190 (W201)
Quaife limited slip differential for the Mercedes 190 (W201). PLEASE NOTE: Not suitable for the 1.8 or 2.0
Once installed, you will notice an immediate difference, as the Quaife limited slip diff automatically biases the torque across the axle to the wheel with the most grip. Unwanted wheel spin and slip are greatly reduced resulting in less oversteer. Your Mercedes 190 will become more controllable during oversteer moments, enabling you to exploit the full potential of your car for the first time, leading to a more exciting, rewarding and rapid driving experience.
The Quaife limited slip diff is silent in operation, even at low speeds, and never locks, making it progressive, safe and user friendly. Unlike standard plate style limited slip diffs there are no clutches, ramps, springs or other wear prone components to replace at regular intervals. The Quaife LSD's well proven system of helical gears is extremely durable and is designed to use standard transmission oils. This makes the Quaife LSD a genuine 'fit and forget' upgrade that offers compromise-free performance and unbeatable reliability on the road or on the track. It maintains full engine power and acceleration on demand.
Precision manufactured from certified steel billets and inspected to ISO9001-2008 standards.
PLEASE NOTE: Mercedes-Benz secure the drive flanges by means of an internal circlip, which are installed through the opening of the original open differential. The Quaife LSD can not use this method given it is fully enclosed. To retain the flanges inside the Quaife LSD, new grooves must be cut on the drive shaft flanges so that they can be secured by a snap ring, which engage into specifically designed grooves in the Quaife LSD (see photo). Ensure that the provided snap rings are first placed into the Quaife LSD journal snap ring grooves, then insert the flanges so that the snap rings engage in the flange grooves.
Snap rings are included in the kit.
This Quaife LSD comes with a Lifetime Warranty (subject to terms and conditions).
